Advent Day
December 4th- our gift to you!
Need a Day to collect your thoughts and organize your time for the upcoming whirlwind of holiday events? Would you like to do some volunteer work for those less fortunate than you but can’t seem to find the time? Would you appreciate the idea of having a freed-up day to get a head start on your holiday cooking? How would you like to take a day to write some Christmas cards, undisturbed, while your mind wanders nostalgically down memory lane? Look no further, WE ARE HERE!
The Children’s Ministries of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration would like all of our parents to take us up on an offer to nurture you! We would like the opportunity to care for your children at Edwards Interfaith Chapel, on Saturday, December 4th while you do what you need to do. Because we have extended the day to make our Advent Day hours more substantial for the parents, we are requiring that parents sign their children up ahead of time. Pre-registration is mandatory so that we can guarantee that the high Episcopal Diocese standards of Safeguarding will be upheld as we care for your children. Last day for registration is November 28th. We have extended our hours for Advent Day to 7:30 am to 3:30 pm so that parents can really have the time to get things done!

Christmas Pageant
Get ready to see one of the best performances of the year starring your child!!! The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration’s Christmas Pageant will be held on December 24th at 1:30 pm at the Edwards Interfaith Chapel. There are many opportunities for you and your child to participate in this memorable and heartwarming event!
This year, efforts have been made to make the Christmas pageant participation more logistically parent-friendly. For your child to participate all you really need to do is get him/her to Sunday School beginning November 12th and we’ll do the rest! Song singing, role selection, dancing and costume fitting will all be taken care of during the Sunday School hours. If your child decides to participate, Sunday School regular attendance during these weeks will allow him/her to perform at his/her best! There will only be one whole-group rehearsal after the 10:00 worship service on Sunday, December 18th and then a quick run-through on the 24th before the 1:30 Christmas Eve worship service.
