Music has always been important in Ruth Walker's life. At age 4 she annoyed her older sister by playing the upper keys of the piano while her sister practiced. Ruth graduated from Valparaiso University in Indiana with a minor in church music and years later earned a BA in piano performance at Metropolitan State College in Denver. She began playing organ for the Transfiguration service at Vail twelve or thirteen years ago (who's counting?). The choir members at Vail bring Ruth joy with all their enthusiasm - they love to sing and they love to be together. In addition to being a church musician, Ruth is a marriage and family therapist at the Samaritan Center of the Rockies.
